We review the Intel Xeon Gold processors 4th generation processors that are compatible with Windows 11 below. Intel Xeon Gold processors (4th generation) were first released in 2023. We have had 5 generations of Intel Xeon Gold processors:
- Xeon Gold First generation
- Xeon Gold Second generation
- Xeon Gold Third generation
- Xeon Gold Fourth generation
- Xeon Gold Fifth Generation
The latest generation is the 5th generation. The first and second generation Intel Xeon Gold processors are discontinued to a major extent. The current lineup of Xeon Gold processors include the 3rd, 4th and 5th generation Xeon Gold processors.
In this document, we focus on Intel Xeon Gold 4th generation processors compatible with Windows 11.
These processors belong to the Intel Xeon Gold 5xxx and 6xxx series. All these processors are being actively marketed by Intel as we write this.

On computers running with these Xeon Gold processors, you would be able to use Window 11. There is a possibility that you may be running into issues while installing Windows 11 or updating to Windows 11 on these Xeon Gold processors.
In such situations, we advise checking the other hardware resources of your computer. Your computer hardware resources need to comply with the following hardware requirements for Windows 11:
