We get asked quite often about compatibility of Windows 11 with Intel Celeron N series processors. In this quick document for reference, we list the Intel N Series processors that are compatible with Windows 11.
In the N series Intel Celeron processor range, we have 10 processors that are compatible with Windows 11. So, you can upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 on any of these 10 Celeron N series processors.
Here is the list of N series Intel Celeron processors compatible with Windows 11:
- N4000
- N4020
- N4100
- N4120
- N4500
- N4505
- N5100
- N5105
- N6210
- N6211
Out of these N series Celeron processors, the N4000 and N4100 processors allow upgrade to Windows 11. Fresh installation of preloaded Windows 11 is not available for Celeron N4000 and N4100 processors.
The remaining 8 N series processors are good for clean installs, upgrades or preloaded Windows 11 operating system.
If you are unable to upgrade from these N series processors to Windows 11 operating system, there is a chance that your system may not have one or more supported hardware. For example, you may have inadequate RAM. Or, your display configuration may not be compatible with the DirectX 12 standards.
For your reference, the hardware requirements for upgrading to Windows 11 are shared below. You may be compatible in terms of the N series Celeron processor. But, one of the other factors could also lead to failed upgrade to Windows 11.
