At this price, TicWatch Pro 3 GPS is a nice AMOLED watch. It allows the buyers to buy accidental damage warranty for a further 2 years. If you are after a budget smartwatch that will look good and is based on Google’s wearOS, do consider the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS and the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS.
Amazfit GTR 3 Pro
Amazfit’s GTR 3 Pro is another watch that boasts of a rich set of features. Most features are identical to Mobvoi’s TicWatch Pro 3 GPS smartwatch. Amazfit GTR 3 Pro has an Ultra HD AMOLED screen. We look at some key features of the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro smartwatch below:
- Amazfit GTR 3 Pro is based on the Zepp operating system.
- Amazfit GTR 3 Pro has a physical size of 46 mm and the watch screen is 1.45″ wide. It is suitable for wrist size between 155-218 mm. It comes with a strap size of 22 mm.
- Amazfit GTR 3 Pro has an Ultra HD AMOLED screen with a display resolution of 480 x 480 pixels. It has a pixel density of 331 ppi.

Amazfit GTR 3 comes at a price of $149.99. And, it has an AMOLED screen. The price looks unbelievable for the set of features offered by an Amazfit GTR 3 smartwatch. We look at some key features of the Amazfit GTR 3 smartwatch below.
- Amazfit GTR 3 has an AMOLED screen and a display resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. It has a pixel density of 326 ppi.
- Amazfit GTR3 does not have a bezel, and the watch screen is covered with a full glass. Full watch screen is made of glass.
- Compared to the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro, the Amazfit GTR 3 does not have an in-built speaker. It, however, does have an in-built microphone.
- Amazfit GTR 3 has a physical size of 46 mm and a thickness of 10.8 mm. It weighs 32 g. The weight can be attributed to lack of a metallic watch body on the front and a non-existent bezel. The watch screen is of 1.39″ size. The watch is appropriate for wrist size between 155-218 mm. It comes with a watch band of 22 mm.

- Blood oxygen saturation can be measured on-demand basis. Perpetual blood oxygenation tracking can be enabled through the Zepp app on the paired smartphone.
- Amazfit GTR 3 includes sensors for altimeter, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and barometric pressure. Unlike the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro, it does not have a temperature sensor.
- Amazfit GTR 3 supports BlueTooth 5.1. It does not have any WLAN support, unlike the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro smartwatch.
For the price point, Amazfit GTR 3 is a compelling buy. You just need to be wary of the all-glass watch screen and lack of WLAN and temperature sensor. And, the AMOLED screen is a definite feature that we have been looking at for the purpose of this study.

The AMOLED screen on smartwatch should have been a standard feature all across. For some reason, the smartwatch companies have chosen to give AMOLED screen a miss on many models. We have Amazfit smartwatch that offers an AMOLED screen on a model that costs $149.99, and we have Garmin’s Epix that costs $999.99. In between, there are multiple other smartwatch offerings that have an AMOLED screen.
While an AMOLED screen is important for an enhanced display experience, there is no doubt that you must consider other factors before buying a smartwatch to factor in specific goals and requirements.
