The French News Agency AFP has been targeted in a recent cyber incident. The cyber attack on the information systems of Agence France-Presse was first detected on Friday.
As of writing this, there is no information about the scope and extent of this ransomware attack. The threat actor also remains unconfirmed for now. But, unconfirmed reports suggest that some Russian hackers claimed responsibility for the attack. The French authorities have not confirmed or denied this.
The AFP has meanwhile confirmed that the worldwide reporting of the news agency continues unimpacted by the cyber attack. The AFP has notified the National Authority for Information Security (ANSSI) about the cyber attack.
